I am a biostatistician. Trying to understand how the body works, and why it does as it does, is fascinating, frustrating and ever-present in my head. I'm reasonably good with numbers, a wannabe mathematician, and a musician at heart. I have hair like a Norwegian troll, drink instant coffee, and thinks yesterday is overrated and esthetics underrated.

I have a PhD in statistics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and was a post doc at the Department of Biostatistics, University of Oslo (UiO), Norway. Currently I have a part time position as  a statistical advisor and researcher at a series of medical research institutes. Medical publications can generally be found in  Pubmed.

I helped develop, and hosted, the TV series "Siffer" ("Digits"): An infotainment series about numbers and mathematics for a general audience. The show aired fall 2011 on Norway's largest national broadcaster, NRK1. See a teaser here (in Norwegian only). The series had a market share of 30-40% of all TV viewers in Norway. Fall 2012 I became the first Norwegian host on Discovery Channel, hosting the engingeering TV series "Countdown to Collision". See a teaser here (in Norwegian only). I run the TV production company Bulldozer Film together with director Christian Holm-Glad.
